Meet Hilx athlete, Mikey Rencz, the Canmore native who shot out of the womb with a pair of snow goggles strapped to his dome.  Growing up a hop, skip, and a jump away from the slopes of Whistler, this young freeriding stud honed his steeze where many dream to spend their riding days.  Mikey is one of the gnarliest and most recognized Canadian riders, who has been catching air on the snowboarding scene since he was 8 years old. 

Rencz continues to set the bar high for the competition, perfecting his backcountry prowess to a degree that is sharper than 90.  An OG of the illustrious 8 Mile crew, Mikey has continued to push himself to new altitudes with no limits in sight.  Rencz is world-renowned for not only the movies he has shot with 8 Mile, but also the lines he’s dropped while producing footage for Burton, TransWorld Productions, and Whiteout Films.  Some of his additional accomplishments are the many magazine covers he has graced along with multiple Snowboarder Magazine “Rider of the Year” noms.
